We are Laura and Joe, a husband-and-wife team who are passionate about creating beautiful places where people can relax, reconnect, and make lasting memories.

Our portfolio includes **Little Apple Cottage** in the heart of Appleby-in-Westmorland, along with **Rose Cottage** and **Romford Cottage** in Sunderland, each offering comfortable, high-quality accommodation for both business and leisure travellers.

Little Apple Cottage holds a special place in our hearts. Joe, who runs his own building company, lovingly restored this charming Grade II listed cottage, carefully preserving its character while introducing the modern comforts and thoughtful touches that guests appreciate. His attention to detail and craftsmanship can be seen throughout the property.

Laura manages our growing portfolio of holiday homes and with Joe is also the owner of **The Beach House at One Roker Terrace**, our boutique hotel overlooking Sunderland's stunning coastline. As frequent travellers ourselves, we understand how important comfort, cleanliness, and attention to detail are. That's why we work hard to ensure that Little Apple Cottage, Rose Cottage, and Romford Cottage are always presented to the highest standard, providing every guest with a warm, welcoming, home-from-home experience.

When we're not working, life revolves around our three wonderful children, family adventures, exploring the outdoors, and our much-loved Jackapoo, Bertie, who enjoys countryside walks and discovering new places alongside us.

Although we're based in Sunderland, we fell in love with Appleby-in-Westmorland and the beautiful Eden Valley because of its breathtaking scenery, peaceful atmosphere, and fantastic opportunities for walking, cycling, exploring, and simply unwinding. We created JLH Property Ltd as a family-run business that complements our busy family life while allowing us to share some of our favourite places with others.
